In 1979, after attending floral design school, I started on an exciting journey, creating expression of the heart.  During my floral design carrer, I worked for and managed several florist shops.  There came a time, when I needed to take some time away, to help my husband in his business ventures.   I am now ready to come back, but in a different fashion.  Everthing you will see on this site is made with silk flowers and plants. Each one is hand made, from the heart.

Flowers and plants are expressions of you feelings, a way to show family and friends that you care.  They bring love, warmth and cheer to any room.   With live flowers and plants, they fade away all to quickly.  The plants you send as gifts, are generally raised in greenhouse conditions and some do not transition well to a home temperature and moisture level.  Fresh flowers are not designed to last since they have been cut away from their roots and food source.  This became very apparent to me recently when I received several garden baskets after losing my parents.   The green plants used were not designed to withstand the conditions of a shallow basket arrangement.  Before I was able to even think about transplanting the plants to appropriate containers, most of the plants had died.  With silk plants and flowers, you can send a unique, yet elegant arrangement, european basket, plant basket, dish garden or terrarium, knowing your loved one will not have to think about watering or transplanting.  They can just enoy. 

With silk flowers and plants, you no longer need to worry about your expressions from your heart wilting away.  You can safely send them to those who suffer from allergies.  Those who receive your gift will be able to enjoy it and will know how much you care for a long time to come.  They will think of you each time they enter the room and see the plants or flowers.

When you think of those in a nursing home, hospital or just shut in their own homes, it is amazing to see the difference in the rooms.  In the nursing home, this is the final home for most of the residents.  When you pass a room that has a touch of green plants or flowers, you knew the resident in the room is cared for and loved.  The room is warm, inviting and expresses love. But most of the rooms are barren.   Some of the reasoning may be the fact that most fresh flower arrangements and live plants are to big for the rooms or there is no one to care for them after the resident receives them.  That is one of the reasons you will find a lot of what I will create will be for the smaller spaces, the night stand, window sill or book shelf and al made with high quality silk plants and flowers.  Everyone deserves a touch of warmth and love.  And there is no better way to send your expressions, than with silk flowers and plants.  It will be a gift that will last for many years.

I've known the unconditional love, encouragement and joy of being a daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.  I have also known the heartache of losing parents and close friends.  To those we love and to those we have lost, I dedicate this site to you.
